Having been based on Fleet Street since 1989, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (Freshfields) signed a 20-year lease for a new London headquarters at 100 Bishopsgate. The magic circle law firm moved to this new location in August 2020, during the height of the pandemic. The firm took a ten-phase approach to moving, which was completed in December 2020.
Freshfields had outsourced its cleaning and waste management services at Fleet Street for nearly 15 years to their previous contractor. They wanted to move to their new building with an exemplary, customer-focused partner that would show continued professionalism and experience in providing an outstanding workplace that not only exceeded their expectations, but also reflected the real pride Freshfields’ employees have in the firm.
Two years later, month after month our client compliments and thanks us for the excellence of services delivered and always compliments the Team for the meticulous standards they provide. We have exceeded every audit expectation with over 95% overall scoring; waste stream methods and H&S audits always achieve a 100% score. Paul Velasquez, Contract Manager, highlights Lucio Loureiro. Lucio has risen up through the ranks from Team Leader to Supervisor and is now Assistant Manager of the night team together with Fahad Nsimbe and Edwin Jimenez. The three of them share a common passion for assisting the Team and they all progressed within a year due to their fantastic work. Lucio, Fahad and Edwin are growing and developing into their roles. They have earned the respect and loyalty of the Team, who is happy to see "their own" being promoted.
"It feels great to be in this position which comes with more responsibilities to take care of", says Lucio, always with a smile on his face. "I think I have always done my work as best as I can; for years, I have contributed to the company goals and this is why I have been promoted."
