I would like to send this email of thanks and praise to one of the cleaning supervisors with regularly cleans at [our school]. 

A colleague and I returned to the school just before closing time as one of us had forgotten our car keys on the desk of a classroom. Michael followed all the correct procedures by checking our ID and asking for our names before happily unlocking the relevant classroom so we could retrieve the keys.

He did this all with a beaming attitude and wished us well on our evening.

Over the past few weeks, she has been asked to deal with some complicated situations – such as the soap dispensers not working on some floors and, most recently, the goods lift breaking down. I have found her to be really helpful and going out of her way to assist me in reaching a resolution to these situations.

Today she has been really flexible with the change in procedure for the cleaners and has been running around to keep everything running smoothly. She has never complained, no matter how much I ask of her, which at times has been a lot!

Eunice is always so pleasant and goes above and beyond, and I felt that should be recognised!

Mariela is a diligent and excellent staff member who, alongside her high level of ability, has made a consistent effort to build positive relationships with the staff here in York House and throughout the school.

On a daily basis, Mariela is friendly, approachable, and very much feels like a member of the team - it is always a pleasure to see her, and her hard work and presence are very much appreciated.

I just wanted to pass on that Lina has been brilliant so far. It has been very quiet yesterday and today as there is no public onsite yet, but she has been incredibly proactive and keen to ask for/find jobs to keep herself busy. As such, she has done an amazing job tidying and cleaning our staff kitchen off her own back and just being generally very helpful whenever she can.

It's often only negative feedback that gets passed on, but I feel it is important to make sure excellent work is recognised too.

I have been made aware by a couple of staff that Luis did a great job in the staffroom this morning, moving all the sofas, sweeping and mopping the floor, cleaning the walls, the tiles by the sink and behind the fridge.

 I would also personally like to also commend Luis - he is very proactive rather than just reactive and when asked to undertake a task he always goes that bit further.

 Please also see below the feedback I received via email from a member of staff re Luis this morning:

 "Luis is constantly cleaning, hoovering and mopping and always says hello so l have nothing but praise for the way he keeps our block clean and fresh."
